♢ PLAYER PLOTTING POST, APRIL
What is this? Essentially, the Player Plot Post is where players come together and inform the rest of the game the current state of their character(s), what they plan to do, and what kind of plot they are looking to generate. Saying things like "any and all plot welcome!" is great, but keep in mind that the more specific you are, the better chance you'll have for finding what you're looking for! This is also the place to reiterate City histories and possible relations (familial or friendship) that you might be looking for. Building up City histories is totally optional, but something you can do at any point — characters can then be free to discover these relationships either through memory rehabilitation or chatter with an NPC. tl;dr ♢ Post with characters, giving a mini-update on their status in the game and ideas for plots you would like to do. ° Include City history if looking for other characters to add to the background. ♢ Tag around to other peoples' posts with offers of scenes to play out, or friendships to make. ♢ ??? ♢ Profit! Template This is completely optional, but I would be remiss in my job as crazy coding mod if I didn't share the love of silly codes to use for this sort of thing. If you would like to use your own format, please feel free to do so.

Mod NPCs
THE CARETAKER
Plots
Constantly available over the bulletin network. You may not always like what he says, but he's definitely willing to speak with you if you have something to say.
As of yet, there is no way to locate the Caretaker in-person.
TONY DINOZZO / THOMAS ANSELMO
Plots
As representative of the Guard Force, this is the guy you'll interact with most for guard-y things. He has a tendency to stick his foot in his mouth, but working with people is just what he does. His assistant is Alice/Delilah, meaning they are together more often than not. His power is a form of temporary, instant friendship that he will rarely (if ever) use outside of work-related mishaps.
ALICE HAZEL / DELILAH HEIDRICH
Plots
Thomas Anselmo's assistant, and thus most likely to be seen at his side. Something of a brat, but quite useful with her highly-developed ESP. As the apprentice representative, Delilah is in charge whenever Thomas is unavailable.
SAM BECKETT / MICHAEL BROOKS
Plots
Not quite all there in the head thanks to his constant past/future visions, yet quite the capable MD. He is director of the hospital and most likely the one to write you a prescription or give you a checkup.
NEAL CAFFREY / ARTHUR STIEBER
Plots
The one in charge of the supply depot, Sleepers will likely know Arthur's face the best of all the Workers. He skips out on work from time to time to do who-knows-what, which makes catching him to learn about his contraband distribution an irritating but necessary task. Interactions with him can end with a Sleeper gaining temporarily preternatural good or bad luck.
TRAVIS TOUCHDOWN / RYAN LECOURT
Plots
Being the lonely, friendless otaku that he is, Ryan is mostly found near the mouth of the Cave. If he isn't standing vigil between the Cave and the Overworld, then he is likely pigging out somewhere or being a loser. Notably, he is the only one outside the Guard Force allowed to carry a weapon: a genuine article katana that stays sheathed at his left hip.

LIAM MCNALLY (
Plots
Currently torn between FUCK YEAH, I'M ALIVE AGAIN and wondering if this is the dream, what it all could mean, etc. Not exactly in the most stable state of mind, but willing to go with the flow as long as Ken is around, and definitely willing to make friends. Liam is the type to adopt any person he likes into his pseudo-family, and is quite the supportive friend. Give him an inch of care and he'll give you a mile of friendship.
Generally attached at the hip to his now-husband, Ken Parker (
As bartenders are wont to do, I'd like to see him become a rumor mill to help other Sleepers get their footing in lieu of getting him involved in the actual plot. (As a note, that's... never going to happen. Ever. Running the plot and trying to interact with it on any meaningful scale at the same time is a headache best left alone.)
City
Owen Bates was a third-generation Centralist who ran the drag club The Rogue's Gallery in the City since he was nineteen years old. He lived in the southern, outer ring and had a good reputation for himself for successfully owning a business so young.
What I would like to see are either old friends from the area or former employees (either as bartenders or performers), or perhaps business competitors and the like. Something to shake him up out of the familiarity Liam has built around Ken's presence would be perfect.

GABRIEL (
Plots
Gabriel is currently all WAT about suddenly being alive after being killed by his big bro. Not that he's not pleased about it, but he's disorientated and part of him thinks that maybe Dad (read: God) is having a laugh at his expense by resurrecting him and then sending him ... someplace.
Mostly, he's going to be looking around, enjoying being alive, and secretly weirded out by the fact that half his powers no longer work. He'll likely push the boundaries of that--constantly trying to make his powers work and fail, and come up against people he wouldn't usually blink twice about standing up to only to find that ... hello, can be hurt. He's also going to investigate All The Rules to see how much he can get away with.
Oh, and he's going to learn to bake.
City
Sylvester Wilton is a baker for a roaming little cafe called ... something I have not yet come up with and will do so when I've had something to eat and can brain. Thus far, he has one potential regular in Elena/Chloe, and a rival/partner baker in Thresh/Dario.
I am completely open for people who will annoy him, force him to Do Things, and generally make him wonder if this is what he bothered trying to save humanity for. And of course for people who will annoy him by trying to be sympathetic.

SNOW VILLIERS (SHILOH KEATON) (
Plots
At the moment, he's pretty much just... adjusting. He's going to try and help as many people as he can, despite the fact that he has no idea what the fuck is going on either, because helping people 24/7 is the only thing that can really distract him from the fact that the love of his life is supposedly just a figment of his imagination. So anyone want to get in some sort of situation and need help? Or even just be epic amounts of confused and he can try to help with that?
On that note, he's also probably going to be a pretty tough egg to crack, on the whole 'convincing him he's really Shiloh' thing, so I expect him to get in trouble a few times. Anyone want to get in trouble with him?
Man, he just needs buddies. :(
City
[it's super late so I'm shamelessly copypasting from the worldbuilding page]
Who wants to be a hero?
Snow Shiloh was totally the captain of one of the City's fire stations (his app's unscreened if you want more info there) and he had a half-dozen dudes who were pretty much like family to him. And who also helped him save lives preeeetty much daily.
You know you want to be one of those dudes. Trust me, you do.
You? Hero? No way?
I would totally love some CR from anyone, really. Maybe his fire squad saved your life or your house or your pet or something. Maybe you were a waitress where they went out to eat. Maybe you were his neighbor. Maybe you just happened to know him from somewhere else even, I don't know.
I'm open to any kind of plotting whatsoever. :)

Hi, Snow, would you like to meet a bartender who would very likely hit on you when you first meet?

INSPECTOR CABANELA (DILLON HAYS) (
Plots
Cabanela will be appearing friendly around the authorities. He's sure this is going to bug fellow Sleepers, but he's doing it in order to be on their good side, so to speak. He's going to be doing some detective work that he learnt from his "dream" self to learn about the city, learn what happened, and try and investigate what is going on, because he's pretty sure that he didn't dream up everything that has happened to him. He'll never publicly say any of this, of course, so learning what he's up to may be tough for other people.
I'm willing to brainstorm ways for people to catch him doing detective work.
City
Dillon Hays was head of security at a yet unnamed business firm where he had a lot of friends on his security team, and had something of a reputation for his fantastic dancing abilities and his inability to teach anyone to dance.

Meanwhile, I think Liam would appreciate Cabanela's sneakiness and trying to go unnoticed. They would probably get along!

MALCOLM REED (GAVIN STARK) (
Plots
Malcolm is not a happy camper. But since he can't exactly do anything at the moment about his predicament, he is going to (well, after the first day or two, maybe) try and take it as well as he can. Since he's going to be with the Guard Force while in the cave, he'll have a nice little position of authority--which means using whatever power might be given to him at all to try and figure things out. Despite his displeasure at the situation, he'll try to be pleasant enough to others, try to help when and how he can. He's not a terribly social person, but at the same time, he'll be trying to keep track of who seems trustworthy or not.
Basically a bit disoriented and a bit paranoid and a bit not at all pleased but trying to hide all of that with calm and politeness so he can gather himself some intel. And also likely be a stubborn little fuck about his dreamlife.
City
Gavin was a police officer (and when we get to the city, unless someone beats me to it, then I'll throw up a DCPD location). Loyal and close to his partners, very dutiful, annoyed people with his higher-than-strictly-necessary morals sometimes. For being practically a runaway from the central city, he's done well for himself.

Elena Gilbert (
Plots
At first, Elena is going to be freaking out mentally because wow, after a year of finally getting used to all her vampirisms and amazing abilities and personality switches, she's suddenly human again. And all her emotions are flooding back at a rapid pace, not immediately, because that would just about short circuit her brain, but much faster than in her 'dream'. But of course, she won't show that outwardly, because hello vampire emotion switch giving her the familiar tendency to act normal.
And then of course, she will be trying to figure out if any of this is actually real, or if this is some bizarre witchy thing that Sheila is putting her through to test her humanity. I imagine Elena would be testing out every bit of this place, and seeing if she can find anyone mentioned in Chloe's diary.
City
Chloe Taylor was just a normal high school girl before the Disaster struck, with an immense love for writing, and is on her school newspaper and kept a very jam packed diary full of information for Elena to exploit.
So far, I have her as a regular at Gabriel/Sylvester Wilson's desserts bakery in town, but I would LOVE to have some friends/fellow students/teachers/the janitor to shake up Elena's routine a bit. She's been out of the high school scene for a little bit over a year, and been through a lot mentally, and I'd love to see her tentatively easing back into the good old teenagehood.
OR ANY CR REALLY. BRING ALL THE CR TO ME. \o/
no subject
A few options coming to mind--
1. Something to do with neighbors? Either they lived near each other or a friend of hers lived near him or the fire station was near the high school or something?
2. Something to do with the high school? If they do Career Days here too, I'm preeeetty sure he would've been the one to represent firefighting etc etc., or the school could've had a pyro or something? fff.
3. If she had a brother, he could've been on Snow's fire squad.
4. If all else fails we just don't bother reaching for past-game CR and give them new CR here. :|a

Commander Shepard (
Plots
Shepard, needless to say, is skeptical. She really, really doesn't buy this "it was all a dream" thing, and she's incredibly unsettled by the idea that anything's been fucking around with her memories. But at the same time, she doesn't have any explanation for what she's doing in the Cave, either, and even though she doesn't like it, she's used to not having all the answers by now. The situation's weird, but it's not completely unfamiliar.
Her first priorities will be to figure out who else is in the Cave with her, learn the lay of the land (so to speak), figure out the hierarchy of who's in charge and who answers to whom. Basically she'll want to do a bit of networking before she goes any further. I am thinking of putting her in with the Guard Force because that's obvious with her military background.
Also she's pretty familiar in her own world with disasters that wipe out entire civilizations, and she'll want to learn more about exactly what happened.
City
Sarah Wilcox was the executive officer of a naval aircraft carrier, and she earned every promotion and every commendation on her own merits. Anyone who wants to have served under or alongside her in the Navy is welcome. She's a bit serious and reserved, but warmer around her friends and family. She has two siblings (could be either gender) and a significant other/potential fiancé (a man).
Basically I am open for all the things. Aaaaall the things.
/rolls onto
And then there's the part where I'm bringing her a canonmate, but. Yeah.
Oh god, I just had the worst ever 'what if Jack was Shepard's rebellious sister and her quote-unquote 'dream' was all one big metaphor for wanting to come back to the sisterly relationship she's been rebelling from all of this time' thought. :|a

Famine (David Mathis) (
Plots
So currently, he's linefacing at the whole suddenly-being-human thing. He does not like this at all. At all. He doesn't believe for a second that this is all they're selling it to be. He's just... not sure if he wants to get to the bottom of this himself, or watch everyone else do it. So for now, he's just.... getting to know the place and the people~
Seriously. Please bother him. He needs to be bothered. He's just that type of person. ♥
City
David was the president and CEO of a business consulting firm (sometimes personal consulting, depending on the client). He's published two self-help books, is a little bit of a big deal in the corporate world, yadda yadda etc...
His brother is Neil Mathis (Pollution, played by

Okay, so basically my idea for all Liam's CR is COME TO THE BAAAAAR but idk if Famine would go for that. If not, we could probably have them run into each other elsewhere? Do things? Stuff?

Jonas Quinn (John Hamilton) (
Plots
I'm going to say I have no ideas and ramble on for ages and ages. In that way, me and Jonas are very much alike sadly.
There is going to be a lot of exploring and asking questions. Jonas is going to want to know about everything, in the cave and the dream world. I'm actually thinking about him doing a research project about how someone's dream world correlates with their city life, because I'm a giant nerd who misses writing research papers. But any serious attempts at research will come later, right now it's just Jonas being his curious self.
Because Langarans have a higher metabolism then Earth Humans, Jonas is used to eating more then a usual human so chances are he'll be frequenting the bakeries and eating establishments quite often. It was always part of my head canon that Jonas watched the Food Network when Jack made him turn off The Weather Channel so he could be a possible part time employee somewhere.
Otherwise, most likely place to find him is the library, reading up on everything and anything.
City
John was a graduate student at the university in Diamond City. He has earned/was working on multiple degrees in history, government, engineering and science and spends most of his time either doing research for university programs or working as a go between with the university and the government for different projects. He’d been approached about working as an ambassador but he’d turned it down numerous times, preferring to stay at the university.
Despite being from The Center, John saw very little of his family and rarely talked about them. He didn’t share the love for the military his family does and they didn’t understand his curiosity about everything. It wasn’t a violent relationship, just a non-relationship. In true, John mostly stuck to himself and his research.
So basically, John needs friends. He's going to be exploring everything as Jonas is not as introverted as John so that shouldn't be too hard. I also need to figure out exactly what research projects he was working on in at the University as there could be some plot generated there.
As far as family, if someone has a militant pup who you think needs an estranged geeky brother/cousin/whatever, I'm willing to talk!

The Doctor (First) (
Plots
The Doctor doesn't believe any of this. He's certain that someone's gone and captured him and his companions (wherever they are) and are trying to manipulate him into staying to provide them with a science expert - which it's obvious they need what with this being so long after a DISASTER. Though why they'd kidnap someone like him alongside some common rabble is beyond him - perhaps the others are really from the planet and they were just lucky to find him, though if they're adamant enough he'll wonder just how these people went about kidnapping everyone - just randomly capturing people from various points in time or different planets or what?
He'll be spending most of his time trying to get to the bottom of things - snooping and investigating, trying to learn about the planet and the City, and the Caretaker and any organization that seems to be functioning suitably. He will likely Get Into Trouble 8) and any fellow trouble-makers are welcome.
Since he's aged and suffers back problems, he's not very physically capable. I'm open to conflict, but he'd likely need someone to step in if anything does happen haha.
City
William Harris Olsen is a professor of science, with a doctorate, and a huge family, including three children and some grandchildren. He also had a best friend who was much younger than him and a fellow scientist (mentioned in his app, which is unscreened if anyone's curious). Otherwise, he spent most of his time on his research, and some with his family or at the institute teaching. He was never very sociable, no running around in large crowds, but he's always been friendly and polite and wouldn't turn anyone away who wished to speak to him, especially his students.

Trip Tucker (Rudolph Wright) (
Plots
Trip. Trip, Trip, Trip. He's my trouble maker. Unlike Jonas, who will be more accepting of the situation, Trip will have none of it. He wants to go to home an' this sure as hell don't look like Earth! He'll probably be on a first name basis with security for not wanting to forget his dream self.
It doesn't help that his City history is almost completely opposite himself. Where he was driven and motivated to get through school and Starfleet so he could work on the Warp 5 engine and someday go out into space. Rudolph had no such motivation so he was basically a talented slacker. Rudolph was an only child in a small family where Trip had a huge family. And Trip doesn't know anything about owning a store or being content in what he would see as a small role. He is not going to be a happy camper to be forced into this role.
Then there are the twin Malcolms, Gavin and Vincent. Oh that is going to throw him for a huge loop. Why are there two of his best friend from the dream here?
Looots of plot for Trip but I'm more then willing to throw him in others!
City
Rudolph is from the south most part of the Southeastern part of the continent. He practically grew up on the water in a small family of just him and his parents. He was perfectly happy working on boat engines and going diving, with about no drive to go any further in his life. The beach was the perfect place for him. But his parents weren’t going to support him forever and, recognizing his brilliance with machines, they forced him into the University in Diamond City.
Predictably, Rudolph flunked out through just not going. His parents wouldn’t have him back so he wandered the city for a bit before apprenticing himself to the elderly owner of a pawn and repair shop, who couldn’t keep up with the repair work. They made quite a team, Rudolph fixing things and the elderly man, Chuck, running the store. When Chuck died, Rudolph took over the store and ran Chuck’s Pawn on his own.
Now, Rudolph would have been just as friendly as Trip so your Sleeper's city self could have known him. The pawn shop carries anything and everything so it's the place to find something. Rudolph was also very good at repair work, but with Trip's training, he's better and can make things from scratch so if your Sleeper needs something made, Trip is their guy.

Aziraphale (
Plots
Aziraphale is extremely unconvinced and as such is wandering around the Cave peering at things irritably. If he runs into you, he might tell you off, but if you buy him a drink he might be pleasant. At the moment he's at the library as well, so if any other characters are looking to read some exciting HISTORY AND SCIENCE BOOKS!! you might run into him. And finally he will be wandering about as much as possible looking for his demonic bffl, whom he is convinced is around the next corner. Oh, and he'll gradually be realizing that he can't miracle things out of thin air anymore, so be prepared for frustrated angel if you do run into him.
City
John Gates will be returning to "his" "bookshop" between the outer and middle rings of the City when he returns. He will be severely unimpressed with it. However, he will be spending time reading and exploring, so feel free to run into him either at the shop or out and about. He'll likely exploring the College of Social Sciences and see if he actually remembers anything from his time there. He's likely to be less tetchy and more generally depressed as he comes to terms with the fact that he's alone.
Really overall just bother him. All the time, whenever.

Haine Otomiya / Mai Kaneko (
Plots
Haine is a really simple person, and isn't so keen to the whole not believing what's happening thing. She does know that she loved people in her dream and she still knows that emotion so she's certain that's real, no matter if the dream itself was or not. In her home world, she had a lot of self-esteem issues due to her parents and just the general attitude of some people around her, and her City self that she's been told she was shares a lot of that, and that's taken it's toll on her. All in all, she's still a bright individual, in the shiny and happy sense, but her trait of holding a lot in and not being completely genuine has just been made a liiiiiitle bit worse.
City
Her city self is Mai Kaneko and she's pretty useless except for being able to do pretty much anything she's told. She works as an assistant dance instructor, has no real family that she likes to talk about, but still manages to have quite a large sum of money, but that's for her to know and for other people not to know. It's not like she'll ever bring it up anyway. She doesn't have any ties and is pretty alone in the city, which is another thing that's getting her down. In her dream, she had friends that she loved and they loved her, but now she's alone and that's No Bueno. She's not openly angsty, but she's fifteen, hormonal, and just went through some shocking revelations and is having an identity crisis, so ymmv.
Lithuania / Kęstutis Kalnietis (
Plots
Lithuania, on the other hand, really isn't questioning the whole thing too much, although it is kind of trippy to dream up 1003 years of existence. He's really submissive and listens extremely well, especially to people in positions of power, so he's not going to openly second guess most of it. There's also a big inconsistency with his dream and his city life. In his dream, he had large scars all over his back and believably elsewhere on his body, whereas in the city he really only has some weathered hands and a nick or two on his arm. To him there's more evidence for it being all a lie than what actually happened to him. Not to mention if it was real, he'd be a country, divorced from a man, experienced countless abuses, watched people die, fought in wars, and have been forced to strip by a bunch of dudes. And none of that is possible, no siree.
City
In the city, he's Kęstutis Kalnietis (why did I pick a name that involved installing a Polish keyboard...), from the South. He's a grad student and a part-time nurse, living in squalor in the outer part of the city. Again, he's a guy with no ties here (that he knows of) and it's actually kind of surprising to him. He's not the most perceptive guy and in his little dream land, he was actually pretty popular and well thought of. You just don't know what you've got until it's gone. He works at a hospital in the middle city and commutes from work to home either on foot in the mornings or by cheap bus in the evenings.
