Character numero dos.
Let's keep this short as possible, because otherwise I will ramble on forever. Hello, Batcave Sky of Diamonds! This is DJ again, and I have brought to you my second character. No, it is not a Vocaloid, that's just his PB. For the record, I won't be introducing him until the start of May once Liam is off to the City to keep them spread out.
This is Sefton Lowell, otherwise known as the human magnet (or "Prickly" depending on who you talk to). He's an original character, but from a distinctly anime-inspired world in an effort to add some medium balance. Back home, he had the power to make people like him through touch and that kind of fucked him up. A lot. (He also had the power to do parlor tricks with genuine magnets, but that's not nearly as prominent.) He doesn't do well with curiosity bordering on invasive, but can be an interesting fellow to talk to if you don't mind keeping to blander topics like sports or the weather. Or science, seeing as he has a doctoratein a made up science.
You can read more about him in his application if you care to!
Now this is where I need your help, guys! In the City, he was apparently a guy named Jeremy Daveen who had a very rough childhood in an abusive household. About sixteen years before the Disaster, he ran away from home in a town north of the Diamond City to avoid child protective services. Despite his efforts, he was taken in by CPS three years later and bounced around in foster care for another two years. This wasn't in the Diamond City, but perhaps there could be leeway here through caretakers encouraging penpals to try and get the boy to open up a bit? Something like that, if you would like to do a thing in this time period.
Jeremy went to earn a scholarship to the Diamond City Institute of Scientific Studies where he studied hard and became a theoretical physicist. After that, he worked for in a minor governmental position as a researcher and then the Disaster happened. Again, there is a lot of leeway here for him to have met up with people and done ~things~, although it would take a determined sort of person to have become more than anything but an acquaintance.
That's a lot of wiggle-room for potential relations and how to come about them. Any takers? Particularly those who share bookish interests or might have been bored enough to poke at the snappy, secretive guy and possibly spark a friendship, or just a rivalry or something.

I expect people to just stare at these two grown men and marvel at the brat-off.
